Residents and community leaders in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have welcomed a major security operation that led to the loss of over 70 bandits and the clearing of several long-standing bandit camps.

The operation targeted enclaves in Rafin Gora, Agwala, Ruwan Sanyi, and Randa, and was led by the 2nd National Mission Force Brigade. During the operation, abducted victims from Kauru and Kajuru LGAs were rescued alive, bringing relief to affected families.

Locals say the success is due to better intelligence sharing and improved security coordination, following recent tension and incidents in nearby areas.
