Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh made history at Rio 2016, becoming the first same-sex married couple to win Olympic gold alongside each other.

The pair played at four Olympics together and married in 2013, a year after winning bronze at London 2012.

Rio 2016 proved to be their final Olympic Games, both retiring after going out on the ultimate high as Olympic champions and stood on the podium together.

In December, they announced the birth of their daughter Pfeiffer – an exciting new chapter for the pair.
