I want to briefly explain the difference between spasticity and foot drop. The reason I think it's so important to understand is because if you Google foot drop and you have spasticity, you're going to go down a rabbit hole, a lot of products and equipment and exercises that probably aren't appropriate. So if your foot goes points down or goes down involuntarily, but it's floppy, so if you move your leg, your foot just kind of flops around, that is foot drop. So foot drop is the inability to control the muscles that lift the foot. spasticity is an involuntary pointing down of the foot. If you have spasticity, the reason you can't lift your foot is because your foot is pointing down involuntarily. So you either have spasticity in the plantar flexors, or you have a true foot drop. So if you have any involuntary pointing down of your foot, then you have spasticity and you don't have foot drop
