Hi there! In this video i explain how to create your own wireless LED similar to X-Base. The editing and recording quality are awful, don't have to say it, and i'm Spanish, so my english is not perfect, sorry for that, but i think it will reach more people this way.

Strange Parts already took a look, but didn't managed to recreate them. Here is his video:

I bought the induction base in Aliexpress, here you have an example:

you can use alitools to search something similar, some shops already have the same LEDs x-base has.

The online calculator used was this one:

The inductors are called CD43 (4mm wide, 3mm tall) and CD32 ( 3mm wide, 2mm tall). The LED are 0805, and the capacitors are 0603. They fit perfectly on the CD32 inductor, but you could use bigger ones in the CD43.

Now the maths without having to hear me:

Working frequency: arround 180KHz

Inductor option 1: CD32 220uH
Capacitor option 1: 1.8nF x 2 (3.6nF)

Inductor option 2: CD43 680uH
Capacitor option 2: 1nF + 150pF (1.15nF)

If you are going to use the same base, you don't have to use the oscilloscope, since the IC used has (i think) a fixed frequency, and you can use my calculations.

If you have any doubt, please feel free to ask. I'd like to know if any of you tried to do the same thing, and if it worked.
