Minor 2nd= 1 half step/0.5 whole steps; evil, ominous, dangerous, mysterious; e.g., Jaw's Theme

Major 2nd= 2 half steps/1 whole step; floaty and neutral, often used as a passing interval; e.g., 1st interval in "Happy Birthday"

Minor 3rd= 3 half steps/1.5 whole steps; sad and emotional; e.g., 1st interval in "Greensleeves"/"What Child is This"

Major 3rd= 4 half steps/1.5 whole steps; Happy and Up beat; e.g., 2nd interval in "Hedwig's Theme"

Perfect 4th= 5 half steps/2.5 whole steps; triumphant and victorious; e.g., 1st interval in "Here comes the Bride"

Tri-Tone= 6 half steps/3 whole steps; magical, other-worldly, dark, and dangerous (often avoided); e.g., 1st and 2nd note in "The Simpsons"
