Jacob Ferrin, RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Primary Children’s Hospital, shares what he’s learned in his role during the pandemic in the latest episode of our LinkedIn Live series, “Leadership at the Forefront of COVID-19,” with Anne Pendo, MD, senior medical director of the Office of Patient Experience. Jacob traveled to New York in April when the state was facing the height of the pandemic to serve patients of all ages, to support other caregivers—to help where and when he was needed most. In New York and back in Utah, he’s learned to develop relationships and learn from others by asking questions and being open to other ways of doing things—by not holding on to only the things learned in a particular area or specialty.
