Fall 2022 Bring Your Own Vehicle (BYOV) Build Event, Week 1-- October 3-7

Changing Lives: 80 Volunteers serving 20 Recipients over the month of October 2022.

RECIPIENTS -- and their Week-1 improvements:

ANIAS -- plywood floor with vinyl flooring
DON & TINA -- 200W solar power system with a portable panel
FREDERICK -- plywood platform bed
MAGGIE -- 12v ceiling fan
NORM -- shelves and Reflectix window covers
SHANNON -- 200W solar power system with a portable panel
SHERYL -- 12v ceiling fan, and 200W roof-mounted solar panels
STEVIE -- 200W solar power system with roof-mounted panel

In Fall 2022, Homes On Wheels Alliance, Inc. hosted the Bring Your Own Vehicle (BYOV) Build Event in Pahrump, NV. Over the four full weeks of October, HOWA volunteers worked to improve the vehicles-homes of people who can not afford either the materials or the labor to make their rigs into functional homes on wheels. In addition to the projects completed this week (listed above), volunteers can also insulate and skin walls, doors and ceilings.

Recipients complete an extensive application and are selected based upon the completeness of that application and documented financial need.
