A sail across Spofford Lake in New Hampshire and a test of an emergency motor by www.drillpaddle.com that uses most any electric drill to power a small propeller.

I love Snark boats. They sail terribly, but they are the fantastic to learn on, like the Sunfish. But they are lighter and able to be put on a car. And unlike a Sunfish and most little boats, the hull is made of styrofoam (coated with hard plastic) so it won't sink even if swamped.

And Snarks are very light at 70 lbs and set up very quickly.

They are also easy to buy used, even just an old hull, and then rehab with epoxy, paint, and new parts from https://www.sailboatstogo.com
Particularly their "high performance" rudder and center board. Not made of wood and telescoping rudder!
