BAMBOO LAMP MAKING - Filipino Workers In Palawan (Weaving and Craftsmanship)

HANAP BUHAY! WE VISITED BAMBUHAY HANDICRAFTS IN BARANGAY SAGRADA BUSUANGA... AND IT WAS INSPIRING!

There is an old Filipino bamboo weaving community in Palawan. On this day, we scootered across the Barangay and found ourselves immersed with a wonderful group of older women and young men... who weave local bamboo called "Boho". It was so fun making "chika-chika" with the older women... who are certainly young at heart!

Bambuhay is a social enterprise... one that is absolutely wonderful for the community here in Busuanga. It is a life changing business and you can bet we bought a lot of bamboo things after this day!
