Dwyane Wade’s debut campaign saw him post 16.2p, 4.5a and 4.0r a night on 46% in 61 games. Led by Wade, Eddie Jones and Lamar Odom, the Heat started their ‘04 playoff run with a 7 game series win over Baron Davis’ New Orleans Hornets. The Association-best 61-21 Indiana Pacers saw Boston in the 1st round, ending the Celtics’ season with a quick 4-0 sweep.

Heading into this Semi-Final game 6, Indiana led Miami 3-2. Neither team had scored under 80 through the first 5 games. This was bound to change. With the season in jeopardy, game 6 was a must win for the Heat. One victory shy of the Conference Finals, the Pacers looked to close them out in South Beach.
