Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo's Giraffe Tower Meets 'Amani'

Is there anything cuter than a couple with a height difference? 💕

We have exciting news! Today, the newest addition to our giraffe tower, female ‘Amani’ completed her quarantine and introductions have officially begun! While Amani is still currently behind-the-scenes, our bull Masai giraffe ‘Nabo’ and his daughter ‘Moshi’ were able to have their first face-to-face interaction with her. As you can see, everything was neck-cellent! The whole tower is giraffing us crazy with their gentle charm! 🦒

As Amani settles into her new home, she may not yet be viewable in the main giraffe habitat, and Nabo and Moshi may continue to pop in and out of the back-of-house space as they get to know one another. Be sure to plan a visit soon to welcome Amani to the zoo! 💛
