Mini USB Desk Fan Review

Описание к видео Mini USB Desk Fan Review

A good afternoon to the fan collector community.
This is the first video I am uploading to my new account dedicated to my fan collection. What better way to start off this channel than showcasing my forgotten USB powered, metallic desk fan.

I found this laying around in the basement with the box in its original condition. The fan did not come with any user's manual as its operation is simple enough for any person.

The fan is powered using a 5 VDC brushed motor, and its theoretical power consumption is 1.2 watts (0.240 amperes).
It can be powered off any electronic device that has a USB port, such as a laptop computer, USB power bank, or even a smartphone/tablet through a USB On-the-Go connector.

The unit is constructed out of metal. The grill has a black painted finish, while the blades were left in native color of the aluminium alloy used to construct them.
The choice of material gives the fan a very sturdy, and high end look - something missing from modern fans of today.

The unit is extremely quiet during operation. Noise caused by air turbulence on the surface of the blades is minimal thanks to the relatively low speed of the device. The only audible sound is the noise of the brushes in the motor making, and breaking contact with the armature.
Wind output is very decent. Owing to the high pitch angle of the blades, the fan is able to displace a fairly decent volume of air for its revolution speed.

I came across a similar units with a complete plastic construction on Canadian Tire retailing for around $16.99 +HST.

I apologize for the narrow field of view, and the constant focusing. I did not have the proper wide angle 18mm lens for my Nikon D7200 camera used to record this, so I had to improvise with a 50mm f1.8 prime lens that resulted in a very shallow depth of field, and the need for constant re-focusing. The camera microphone sensitivity was left at 15 units.

Thank you for watching. If you liked this video, please like, share, and comment!
