Ninja Gaiden 4 is hands down one of the best games in the entire modern/ Dead Or Alive Ryu Hayabusa series. Not only is the gameplay very familiar to players of the past games like me, they add Revengeance's parry & the Platinum Games perfect dodging to it, making a great foundation even freaking greater. The bosses in this game are SO DAMN GOOD that it trumphs the majority of bosses in the series, and it has what I personally think is the best final stage & final boss in the series, so much so that once I beat the main story, I immediately play the final stage again as Ryu Hayabusa because hey, it's his game after all, and he's so damn awesome to use in this game with his new gleam stance.

I don't worry about how he only has his dragon sword because this 1 weapon is all he needs, and you do get to play as him for the whole game in the chapter select. And besides, I expect the Ninja Gaiden 4 Sigma/Black version to add more Ryu weapons + story. He totally should join in the final battle to help Yakumo, but I have a feeling Ryu's doing battle with Achilles offscreen during that whole final fight. Also Sigma/Black may add other playable characters like Ayane & possibly the return of Momiji, Rachel & Kasumi, just like in 3 Razor's Edge. Or better yet, maybe Hayate will finally be playable! Only time will tell.

The fight with Ryu is so freaking awesome, and fun trivia, is not the first time you fight him in the series outside Dead or Alive. You fight a clone of him in Ninja Gaiden Black

But this time you're fighting the real deal main hero of the series. Thankfully with the amazing combat mechanic of this game, this is by far the best version of his boss fight. I was smiling from ear to ear even when he whoops my butt!

One thing that's a shame though is that he doesn't have his old Unbreakable Determination kickass Warriors Orochi theme for this fight which will be PERFECT. I mean we had a version of it in chapter 18 but that's the more calm version. So I figured "eh I'll just do it myself". Enjoy ;)
