InterContinental Hotels Group to Launch Upmarket Chinese Hotels

InterContinental Hotels Group said it's launching a new upscale hotel chain in China. The hotel operator strives to become the chain of choice for increasingly-wealthy Chinese travelers at home and abroad. Dow Jones's Simon Zekaria explains what sets the Chinese luxury hospitality experience apart, including noodle bars, VIP lounges and Chinese gardens. InterContinental's chain of Chinese hotels is called Hualuxe, with the first scheduled to open in late 2013.
