Pioneer Valley drive - Five Colleges: Smith, UMass, Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke

Today we're going on a quick drive around the Five Colleges in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts. First we start off driving through Smith College and downtown Northampton before heading over the Calvin Coolidge bridge into Hadley. After Hadley, we turn onto Route 116 north for a mile or so and then we're at the University of Massachusetts flagship campus in Amherst. It's amazing how many new buildings have sprung up there over the years. From there, we go into downtown Amherst before a brief foray into Amherst College and then head into South Amherst to drive through Hampshire College. Immediately after Hampshire, we pass by the Yiddish Book Center and the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, and then the destination of Atkins Farms Country Market. After Atkins, we head over the mountain, through part of Granby and then into South Hadley where we pass through Mount Holyoke College.
