Black Ops 3 takes place in a future with cybernetics, simulations, AI, and grand conspiracies, where nothing is ever as it seems on the surface. Black Ops 1 made us question the protagonist’s sanity, but Black Ops 3 makes us question the very nature of reality itself.

Did its narrative succeed? Well, in the eyes of most players, it didn't.
