Europe's biggest Canyon: Gorges du Verdon - Stage 1 (Pont du Galetas - La Palud-sur-Verdon, France)

Описание к видео Europe's biggest Canyon: Gorges du Verdon - Stage 1 (Pont du Galetas - La Palud-sur-Verdon, France)

Gorges du Verdon is the biggest canyon in Europe and is only surpassed in size by the Grand Canyon in the USA. Over three jaw-dropping stages you will ride the entire loop around Gorges du Verdon including the extra loop of the incredible ‘Route des Crêtes’. Gorges du Verdon is without a doubt a bucket-list ride and one of the best in France.

Stage one starts at the enchanting azure-colored Lake Ste Croix. Here you cross the bridge ‘Pont du Galetas’ and the Verdon River. A river you later will see from multiple angles on your ride around Gorge du Verdon. From the bridge, you work your way up to the village La Palud-sur-Verdon. Because of several descends on the climb it only has an average gradient of two percent. This makes it a very pleasant ride with extremely good views. Not only do you get to see Lake Ste Croix, but you also have magnificent views of the canyon and the Verdon river.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
