Fixing Rising Damp & 200 Year Old Stone Building Repairs: Our Derelict Farmhouse in Ireland

Описание к видео Fixing Rising Damp & 200 Year Old Stone Building Repairs: Our Derelict Farmhouse in Ireland

This week, "Fixing Rising Damp & The Stone Building Repairs: Our Irish Farmhouse & Barn" shows how Ben exposes the tops of the farmhouse foundations to eliminate the rising damp which is present at the bottom of the walls in the kitchen and living room. With bedrock everywhere, this isn't go to be a simple job.

Dawn continues her stone building repairs with lime mortar and is getting closer to the top of the gable end. With twisted Ivy and loose stones, hard hats are an essential part of this farm building repair.

Being complete beginners at farmhouse renovation, really needing a "homesteading for beginners" guide and now starting amateur archaeology, we are taking it slowly, enjoying everything we do no matter how hard it is, to one day realise our dream of running a fully functioning homestead from our once derelict Irish Farmhouse.
