Moralana drive Central Flinders Ranges SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Описание к видео Moralana drive Central Flinders Ranges SOUTH AUSTRALIA

We drove the beautiful 28 km (one way) Moralana Scenic drive east to west and then returned via the black top through Hawker back to Rawnsley Park station (where we were staying). This is a dirt track that is a little rough in parts. Caution would definitely be needed if it has rained.

It is a delightful scenic drive through a valley made by the Arkaba, Six Mile and Moralana Creeks, flanked by two of the Central Flinders most impressive outcrops - the southern rim of Wilpena Pound and the Elder Range. These outcrops are the stumps of a higher range that once existed between them and that has been eroded away over time.

The road follows siltstone and shales, through gentle, rounded hills and creeks lined with ancient redgums. An incredibly picturesque route with a photo opportunity at every bend in the road.
