New highway linking I-5 and the Port of Tacoma

Описание к видео New highway linking I-5 and the Port of Tacoma

This visualization shows what the new 2-mile highway will look like between Interstate 5 and SR 509 near the Port of Tacoma. Part of our SR 167 Completion Project, the highway will move freight more reliably to and from the Port and nearby distribution centers, while taking truck traffic off local roads. Construction starts in mid-2022 and lasts through 2026. This work will be followed by a final construction project to compete the rest of the unfinished SR 167 between I-5 and Puyallup in Pierce County. This video (PSG) explains why completing SR 167 is so important to the Puget Sound Region. The SR 167 Completion Project is part of the Puget Sound Gateway Program, which is also building the remainder of the unfinished SR 509 in King County. Note: Visualizations are conceptual and subject to change.
