In the latest developments concerning the killing of a 26-year old Bajrang Dal activist, Harsha, the police have debunked the religious angle and have suspected that the murder was carried out due to personal enmity. Meanwhile, heavy police deployment is still witnessed in the district as the situation in the region is pretty sensitive. The DIG of Shivamogga, Dr. Thyagarajan spoke to the press and said that investigation is underway and the law and order situation is completely under control. However, he claimed that the police deployment will remain in place until normalcy is restored.
