1. Screenshot Before Entry—It's Your "Haste Filter"

Here's a simple habit that will transform your trading: Before you click that buy or sell button, take a screenshot of your setup and write ONE sentence in your journal about why you're taking this trade. If you can't articulate it in 10 seconds, you're trading on impulse, not preparation. This tiny pause is where diligence happens—it's the difference between "I saw an opportunity" and "I executed my plan." Most losing trades can't survive this simple question: "Does this match my pre-market Battle Plan?"

2. Know Your Maximum Loss Before Your Potential Profit

Diligent traders work backwards. Before the market opens, they know: "Today, I'm risking X per contract, and I'm willing to lose a maximum of Y on any single trade." Hasty traders do the opposite—they see the profit potential first, then figure out risk after they're already in. That's not trading, that's gambling with extra steps. Check your leverage matrix BEFORE you see a setup you love. When you know your max loss first, every trade becomes a yes/no decision based on your plan, not an emotional reaction based on fear of missing out.

Bottom line from Proverbs 21:5: Diligent planning isn't sexy, but it's consistently profitable. Haste feels like opportunity, but it pays in account balance losses.
