SURPRISING MY CHEF SISTER AT HER WORKPLACE| MET BHUTANESE CHEFS IN CANBERRA

Surprising my chef sister at workplace and also met her colleagues who were Bhutanese. It felt like eating at home but away from home.

If you wish to enjoy a sumptuous meal by the lakeside here in Kingston, Canberra treat yourself at ‘La Rustica’ an Italian restaurant run by an amazing owner who’s supported by 7 Bhutanese Kitchen Staff including chefs and kitchen handlers.

One of whom is my sister. I walked in to surprise her at her workplace and I fell in love with the place. It was a joy to meet fellow Bhutanese, young colleagues working diligently along with my sister. Some of them has been working at the restaurant for more than 3 years …

When asked what would they bring back when returning to Drukyul, without a second thought, they said “Skills” & “Salesmanship”. Happy with their answers, I promised to return to their restaurant before I returned home.
