AND it’s NOT a self insert???

This book is good on its own, it can stand on its own feet with no effort coming from any outside effort. But the fact that it’s not a self insert when it has so much easy room to become a self insert story makes it honestly beautiful.

I would not have expected this book to be as good as it was, going into it I thought that it was just going to be a story about an audiobook narrator that covered some of the basic aspects about that career and then she fell in love, a hallmark style story where you can anticipate every turn.

But it wasn’t.

It has so many facets of life, and trauma, and hopes, and dreams, and all of these aspects of being a person who hasn’t felt comfortable in their own skin for reasons outside of their control. And it’s done so amazingly well. Yes, there’s a love story. But there are so many more love stories than the one that you sign up for when you pick up a romance story.

This story is going to be one that I relate to for a long time and that is going to stay with me for many years to come. I cannot stress how much that means. Especially since I listened to it instead of reading with my eyes.
