Borderlands 2: Buffed Seraph Infection- Does it still suck!?

The Infection is a Seraph rarity Maliwan pistol that is only available in corrosive. It has a much weaker base damage than an average pistol, but it has a much higher Damage Over Time.

The Infection greatly benefits from the global DOT buff with the community patch. The Infection also benefitted from a substantial buff to the weapons base damage and the DPS.

With these buffs, the Infection becomes a surprisingly potent weapon at OP 8. It has a much longer effective range than the average pistol in Borderlands 2, but it is a little slower to kill than some other high tier pistols because you have to wait on the damage over time. I believe it to be best with Maya, but I think Gaige could probably use it well, too.

The gun definitely no longer sucks.
