What a fun and memorable day! Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, quickly became one of our favorite beaches ever. With its crystal-clear blue water, gentle waves, soft sand, and cheap sunbeds, it was the perfect place for a family beach day. While we didn’t get any footage in the water, just know — the kids had a blast splashing around and we had the best time soaking it all in.

Just a short walk from the beach parking area, you’ll find the Sea Turtle Research, Rescue & Rehabilitation Center — and it’s completely free to visit! It’s a small but incredibly meaningful facility doing important work to protect the endangered loggerhead turtles that nest on Iztuzu Beach.

Each tank has information about the individual turtle being treated, and we were fascinated learning their stories. The 2-day-old baby turtles were definitely the highlight — so adorable!

This is an awesome activity for families, and we highly recommend making a stop here before or after enjoying the beach.

🇹🇷 Travel Tips for Iztuzu Beach & Turtle Hospital

1. There's a small fee for parking near both the beach and the turtle hospital.
2. Sunbeds are available and very affordable - although we did get ours for free somehow.
3. The turtle hospital is free to visit — donations are welcome.
4. Bring snacks and water, or grab something from the beach cafés.
5. Don’t miss the baby turtles if you’re lucky enough to visit during hatch season!
