One might be surprised to see Mike's choice of drift car: a 1998 Volkswagen MK3 Golf GTI. Normally this would have been a VR6 FWD car, but with Mike's fabrication skills, it's soon to be sliding around with a V8 RWD swap. He decided to take the M62 from his BMW E34 and slam it into this short wheelbase hot hatch.

Audi purists might be a bit upset about Andy's Quattro delete, but it sure is fun to get the thing sideways on dry pavement. His car will be even more fun with upgraded suspension, more boost, and some other modifications.

The BMW's all started life as RWD cars, but Will's 540i has an automatic transmission and open diff, which is less than ideal for drifting. He'll be swapping in a manual transmission, a third pedal, and welding his diff so both rear tires burn at the same time.

The two E36's are in very different places. Kevin's E36 328iS is well-sorted, but it needs some boost, while Andrew's E36 325i is going from stock to drift car.
