Many don't know that shared accommodations where a tenant/renter/boarder shares space IE. washroom or kitchen with the landlord or person they pay rent to in Ontario are not covered under the Residential Tenancies Act(2006) and are also exempt from the Ontario Human Rights Code including those that would fall under the protected classes... landlords in this situation are free to openly discriminate against religion, Gender, Gender Identify/Expression, Race, Skin Colour, Place of Origin/Birthplace, Income Source and more.

The Biggest new trend in this situation is shared rooms and over crowding of rooms...
Older but still a problem is the LEGAL discrimination against those classes that are protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code,

We really could use the help we are looking to expand into more direct advocacy with Local/Regional, Provincial and Federal governments to put their ass to the flame and DO SOMETHING ABOUT the fact that those on supports CANNOT afford rent in Canada!!!!
