The CNMI’s only hospital will now start paying the commercial rate instead of the government rate for its utilities, significantly lowering its monthly bill.
CNMI Governor Arnold Palacios signed the bill into law in November as the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation hopes to reconcile $60 million of what the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation says they owe.

Thomas Manglona recently sat down with CHCC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Esther Muna to discuss why the new law is critical to maintaining health services in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. Watch the full interview now with Marianas Press.
