17 October 2022, HEAL Nepal has extended its support to the flood and landslide affected families of Mahakali Municipality and Naugad Rural Municipality in Darchula district by reaching 245 households. The objective of this program was to ensure flood and landslide affected families could be able to meet their basic lifesaving immediate needs by distributing emergency relief items. Darchula district experienced flash floods and landslides due to the persistent and heavy rain on 9th August 2022. 5 people were killed, 53 houses were completely destroyed as a result of the Flood and Landslide in Lasku river.

HEAL Nepal with funding support of Qatar Charity distributed relief items and supported on Response to Recovery. QC distributed Food Items, Dignity Kit, Blankets as Emergency Response, whereas Cooking Fuel (Gas Cylinder, Gas Stove Set), CGI Sheets, and Agriculture Toolkit with Seasonal Seeds as Recovery Support.
