MALLORY - EMRA - 06.05.24 - TWINS - RACE 1

My first time at EMRA and Mallory Park. I'm not usually quick during qualifying, and I wasn't here. But with this session and two races, I didn't have much time to get up to speed. It was a bit surprising that people were taking super defensive lines all the time. At NoLimits I think groups try to catch the group ahead to better our positions, but some at Mallory settled for a position 2 laps in and took the most defensive lines possible, even if there was no one close enough to pass them. It just seemed like a different mentality on track (different club I suppose) but this might have been why there were so many crashes and red flags throughout the day. It was worse than an Inters trackday at Brands GP.

I got faster in the races as I normally do. Race 1 going from 29th on the grid to finishing 17th. Race 2 was a disaster really. I got hit at the hairpin and missed a few gears, then it was red flagged, with no one knowing why as there hadn't been a crash. The whole day from mid-morning was behind schedule due to do loads of people crashing.
