RNLI Moelfre, Anglesey, Wales training launch and recovery.

Описание к видео RNLI Moelfre, Anglesey, Wales training launch and recovery.

This is a drone video we made today of our first training launch of 2024. Our lifeboat is maintained to the highest standard, and today, we took the opportunity to test the accuracy of our navigation system. While we were on the water, we did a slow turn and quick pass along the shoreline to wave and show our appreciation to our supporters who had come down to Moelfre today; Dwynwen even demonstrated her dancing skills.

We are often asked how do you get ‘Kiwi’ back in the boathouse. Hopefully, this video will answer a few questions. Getting the lifeboat in and out of the water involves teamwork from the shore and boat crew, and as you can see by the video, all hands get involved in washing down ‘Kiwi’ and getting her ready for her next call to service.

Our lifeboat crews train together every week, at sea and ashore.
Weekly RNLI training exercises focus on teamwork, technical competence and safe operating procedures covering everything from boat handling, search and rescue, and navigation to radar training, radio communications and casualty care.
