Starting from Zhapu Road Bridge and heading towards the North Bund, this is a walking route I personally adore.
Situated along the Huangpu River in Shanghai's Hongkou District, the North Bund forms the "Golden Triangle" core area alongside the Bund and Lujiazui. It uniquely preserves the cultural fabric of century-old shipping docks and historic buildings while embracing modern landmarks like the Magnolia Plaza and W Hotel, creating an urban tapestry where past and present intertwine. Its riverside greenbelt, threaded along the Huangpu River waterafront, connects scenic highlights such as the "Little Egg" performance space and "Music Gate" sculpture through undulating pathways. This world-class waterfront destination harmonizes eco-friendly strolls, art exhibitions, and leisure activities, offering visitors panoramic views of Lujiazui's iconic skyline while experiencing the poetic fusion of river breezes and metropolitan energy.
