The 2025 NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota brought no shortage of challenges and drama for Chad Green Motorsports. The weekend kicked off with disaster as Chad’s first qualifying run left the motor severely damaged, forcing the crew into an all-out thrash to perform a complete engine swap. With the clock ticking, the team assessed the damage, rebuilt, and fought to get their Nitro Funny Car ready for the next run.
Fast-forward to Sunday’s eliminations, where history was made. For the first time ever, Chad Green lined up against his own son, Hunter Green, in a head-to-head battle in round one.
