Global Erg Challenge for Paddle Adaptors, and anyone who wants to race around Hong Kong Island in the form of an Outrigger, Dragon Boat or C1 type of boat. You can do this solo or in relay teams!

Join us for the Global Erg Challenge, racing virtually around Hong Kong Island (45km) at the same time as the actual on-the-water race for coastal rowing - the most iconic coastal rowing event in the world. This is the first race of its type, in any sport, where virtual and real compete in the same event and same timing.

Team categories: Men's/Women's/Mixed. High School, University, Corporate and Open, and in each of those: Outiggers (solo, 2-man, 6-man), and C1s, C2s, C4s, or Dragon Boat with Team of 10.

More information can be found at www.globalergchallenge.org This event is to also raise awareness for ocean awareness, appreciation and protection, and prizes will be awarded for the teams who raise the most funding support for their challenge. Proceeds will go to the work of Ocean Recovery Alliance, and NGO based in Hong Kong and California, and also the organizer and founder of the event. This is being run with the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club that runs the world-reknown Around the Island Race (ATIR), and this year's host of the Asian Coastal Rowing Championships. Next year they will also be hosting the World Coastal Rowing Championships, the week before the ATIR, and the Global Erg Challenge.
