US forces struck Iran's three main nuclear sites, President Donald Trump said late on Saturday, and he warned Tehran it would face more devastating attacks if it does not agree to peace.

During a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian stated that US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites prove Washington is the main driver behind Israeli strikes.

The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Pakpour said on Sunday (June 22), that the country was going through a "sensitive period."

Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, said Iran had protested to both the IAEA and the UN Security Council.

He acknowledged the nuclear sites had sustained damage but said that operations would recover quickly.
