The Trap Dike-The Adirondacks

Описание к видео The Trap Dike-The Adirondacks

The Trap Dike is a 600 vertical foot drainage that cuts down from Mount Colden and spills into Avalanche Lake in the heart of The High Peaks Wilderness. It’s a fourth class scramble on a typical day, but was VERY spicy on this day as it had rained a significant amount the night before. This essentially turned it into a waterfall climb. I wouldn’t recommend folks doing this that don’t climb and know what they are doing. A slip in the wrong spot could seriously injure or kill you. Don’t take this route lightly. It most certainly is NOT a hike. Joining me on the adventure were Jon and Adrienne and they were great company to have! Enjoy.
