How to Reset an ASUS Router (Factory Default Settings)

Learn how to reset your ASUS router to its Factory Default settings. In this video I will show you four methods to reset your ASUS router to its factory default settings. The four methods for resetting the ASUS router back to factory default are:

1. Web Gui Reset method
2. Reset Button
3. Asus App Reset
4. Hard Reset

When you start the factory reset procedure on your ASUS router you can expect the following to happen:
1. All the settings you have made are deleted and replaced with the ASUS default settings.
2. Your username and password for logging into your ASUS router changes back to the factory default settings i.e., admin/admin.
3. All the data logs for features like AiProtection, are deleted. This also includes things like system logs, Wi-Fi logs, DHCP logs, routing tables, port forwarding rules etc.
4. After everything is deleted, the ASUS router then restarts using its factory settings, and all the LED lights are turned off for a moment. Then when the factory reset and restart is finalised, the LEDs are automatically switched on again, and you can start using the router.
5. Then you will have to re-configure your ASUS router again as if it was fresh out of the box.
