Canon Cinema EOS C100 VS Canon Pro Camcorder XF300 (Low light 80000 ISO)

This is the Canon Cinema EOS C100 VS Canon Professional Camcorder XF300 low light video test. The reason why I'm testing these two cameras. Because most of the people look at the codec more than anything. If the camera can shoots ProRes, then it should be good. That's totally wrong. The Canon C100 and XF300 is really good example. C100 only shoots 24mbps AVCHD 4:2:0 video, and XF300 shoots 50mbps MPEG-2 4:2:2 video. Both cameras share the same DIGIC DV III Image Processor. In theory, XF300 should win easily. But clearly C100 has less noise than XF300 because of the large "Super 35 CMOS Sensor". I'm not trying to say which camera is better. It really depending what your needs. I would say both cameras have their Pros and Cons.

I'm just trying to say codec does't mean anything. Even the Panasonic G6 can do a decent job comparing with Panasonic GH3. Panasonic G6 doesn't have high bitrate like GH3. Here is the video comparison that I did last month
