2020年、加藤君に初めて出会いました。静かで人見知りな印象で、おとなしい人だと思いました。 一緒に居酒屋に行った時は、あまり食べていなかったのを覚えています。

2021年、彼は急に音信不通になりました。 体の問題があったことは聞いていましたが、詳しくは分からなくて、心配していました。 当時は全世界の状態が酷くて、彼の健康しか願っていませんでした。

去年、私が車を運転している最中のことでした。加藤君からLINEが来ました。
”お久しぶりです。長い間すみませんでした。体の状態が悪くて、休んでいました。”

今年、彼と再会しました。彼の病の為に何かしてあげたいと思ったので、シグネチャーカラーのヨーヨーをチャリティーモデルとして販売する事にしました。そうして、Motifの加藤徹人モデルが誕生しました。

Unparalleledを日本語に翻訳すると"不二"が一番近い言葉ですが、加藤君は本当に不二だと思います。大きな技を好んでやるプレイヤーは多いですが、彼の技は細かく、一番綺麗で賢い、世界で彼にしか出来ないものです。

彼は11歳の頃に一型糖尿病を発症してから毎日、一日に最低四回のインスリン注射と血糖直のコントロールを続けています。

今回のヨーヨーの売上の一部が、彼の一型糖尿病の治療費に充てられます。

I met Tetsuto in 2020 after sponsoring him about a year before that. He struck me as someone who was really quiet and reserved, but still down to earth. I remember going out to dinner with him, where he didn't really eat much.

In 2021, Tetsuto disappeared from my life. I had known that he had some medical issues in his life, but never pried into it. Given the state of the world, the only thing I was worried about was his safety and health.

While I was driving last year, I received a LINE message from Tetsuto. He said to me: Long time no see, I'm sorry for disappearing. My treatment wasn't going well and I returned home to focus on recovery.
I met with Tetsuto this year to hang out, and during that time, I wanted to see how I can help him with his health situation. We brainstormed some ideas, and decided that the best course of action was to make a signature color for him. His favorite yoyo among all the recent releases was the Motif, so it was an easy choice for us.

Tetsuto is special. In the world of doing the biggest tricks possible, he dials it back, and embraces creativity in a way that no one else can replicate.

When Tetsuto was 11, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He now requires a minimum of 4 shots of insulin a day to control his blood sugar levels. Profits from this signature color Motif, and partial profits from all Motifs will go towards medical treatment.
