What DayZ Badlands Entails

A Brand New Terrain
Explore the largest map for official DayZ – 267km² of vast, desert-themed wasteland that’s located west of Chernarus and borders Takistan’s western frontier. To the east, the sands creep inward, while jagged border mountains split the lands to the west. This fully inland territory is a scarred battleground with stories to tell.

Geopolitically Troubled Territory
Walk through the ruins of constant proxy wars between global superpowers fighting for control of this resource-rich land. Abandoned historical sites, dense Middle Eastern-style cities, and crumbling Soviet-era military bases collide with modern oil drills and refinery infrastructure. Highways, meant to bridge East and West, now stretch like abandoned hope across the wasteland.

An Arid Spring Climate
Survive the dry climate while suffering even drier droughts. Your thirst won’t
be quenched easily—not by the land, nor by the common wells that didn’t survive the war. You won’t be left high and dry in the heat, however. You’ll be able to adapt by utilizing region-specific character cosmetics, items, and firearms. You can even battle region-specific infected variants, all of which have been tailored to the expansion. Prepare to face the extreme conditions of a land whose beauty has somehow managed to endure despite being ravaged by war.

Bandit Country or Survivor Refuge?
Badlands. There’s trouble in the name, but the story is yours to write. War has devastated the land, but the infection triggered a reset and left the land in a vacuum. Now it's up to you to decide what comes next. This is your story. Nasdara is more than just a battleground; it's yet another stage for your survivor's stories. Will you explore its secrets? Battle for dominance? Form factions and rebuild what’s been lost?
