Irreversible Entanglements’ debut album is hailed as ‘one of the most powerful and relevant works of art’ of the present by music blog The Quietus. Other leading media have responded in similar ways to the new band, founded by Keir Neuringer en Luke Stewart, featuring poet and spoken word artist Camae Ayewa. Following various experimental and electronic projects she can now be heard in a powerful contemporary free jazz collective.

Irreversible Entanglements came together in Brooklyn, New York, to perform at a Musicians Against Police Brutality event organized after the death of Akai Gurley, which was caused by police brutality. Since then the message is the undeniable essence of the music for Irreversible Entanglements.
