University of Central Asia (UCA) in collaboration with the World Bank, European Union and StrategEast, with cooperation from the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan is organising an online conference on Digital Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan.

At this conference, international experts will talk about the importance of Digital Economy in the development of the Country, and also present their research findings related to the Republic of Tajikistan. This conference will highlight opportunities available in the digital economy, which is growing fast, especially in developing countries. The core of the digital economy is the ‘digital sector’ (Information Technology Sector) producing foundational digital goods and services. The real ‘digital economy’ defined as “the part of the economy derived solely or primarily from digital technologies with a business model based on digital goods or services” consists of emerging digital and platform services.
