€500 International Student Housing, The Village Groningen

Hi!

My name is Baginda Mufti, an International Business student at RUG. I'm going to share with you guys my student accommodation here in Groningen, since I know how hard it's to find information about it on the internet, especially about the village.

My room costs about 520 euros a month, it's because I'm on the best block here and on the ground floor since I want to have a terrace (other types of rooms costs 490 and 505 euros) pretty expensive I guess for what I got, but I got no other choice, so yeah, here I am.

It took me 18-20 minutes by bike to arrive at Zernike campus from here, quite far, but still manageable. To the city center, it took me about 10 minutes and 5 minutes to the closest supermarket (coop). And also if you want to take the bus, the closest bus stop is about 5 minutes walk. We are basically pretty "far" from everything (at least to me), so be ready for it.

One more thing, don't go to international student accommodation if you have issues with noise pollution!

Once again, don't ever underestimate the housing problem here in Groningen.
