Daylight patrol of the 18th Battalion, London Regiment (London Irish Rifles, 47th Division) leaving their trench to enter Albert, 6 August 1918. Of the patrol of seven, one was killed and three were wounded.

King George V, attended by Arthur Bigge, Lord Stamfordham, Sir Derek Keppel, Major Thompson and Rowland Baring, Lord Cromer, arriving at Chateau Le Nieppe where he was received by General Herbert Plumer, Major-General John Percy and Brigadier General Tom Webb-Bowen. A number of RAF officers were presented to the King, among whom was Captain James Ira Jones, 2nd Brigade, RAF, who that morning brought down two enemy machines making his total score 37. 6 August 1918.
