One of those reasons why i love diesel trains so much over other forms of traction, is that they feel and sound so alive. Something that comes even more to fruition when the engine sounds just slightly off, from the usual.

With the first car of this 5-car set having a slightly more rattly sound than what you normally hear on these Cummins QSK19 engines, it just emphasizes a tad bit more when the engine comes to life, while revving up. It's one of those details I can enjoy very much when listening to the music these engines produce.

Ofcourse it's followed by a lovely demonstration of full-throttle violence, where we get to see how fast these units really are, and we get to enjoy that heavy turbocharger-whistle the turbos produce.

All in all, this was one of my favourite shots soundwise and I can't wait to can't back to the mml and the EMR Class 222s in April. 🥰
