The Cross Guild is a powerful organization headlined by three former members of the Seven Warlords of the Sea: Buggy, Crocodile, and Dracule Mihawk.[1] Originally a company founded by Crocodile and Mihawk, Buggy accidentally usurped presidency of the organization due to misunderstandings on behalf of his crew, serving as the figurehead leader which led the World Government to recognize him as one of the new Four Emperors.[3]

Buggy the Star Clown is the captain of the Buggy Pirates[4] as well as the co-leader of the Buggy and Alvida Alliance,[5] and a former apprentice of the Roger Pirates alongside Shanks.[8] Shortly after the Summit War of Marineford, he became a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea[7] and the leader of the pirate dispatch organization "Buggy's Delivery".[3] He later lost his Warlord title when the system was abolished but was then recognized as one of the Four Emperors following the downfalls of Kaidou and Big Mom[6] and the creation of the Cross Guild, of which he is publicly recognized as the leader.[16][17]

Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk[15] is a world-famous pirate who holds the title of "Strongest Swordsman in the World".[8] He was one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the first revealed and formally introduced, until the group's dissolution.[3][4]

In the past, Mihawk was known as the "Marine Hunter"[9] and had a reputation for being the rival of Shanks, one of the Four Emperors. His place of residence was Kuraigana Island,[5] on which he served during the two-year timeskip as Roronoa Zoro's master in his swordsmanship training.[16][17] Alongside fellow ex-Warlord Crocodile, Mihawk created an organization known as the Cross Guild, with Buggy of the Four Emperors acting as the organization's figurehead leader.[18]

"Desert King" Sir Crocodile[3][14] is the former president of the mysterious crime syndicate Baroque Works,[15] formerly operating under the codename "Mr. 0", with Nico Robin, formerly known as "Miss All Sunday", operating as his Vice-President and partner. He is the primary antagonist of the Arabasta Arc and the Arabasta Saga, and a supporting character in the Impel Down Arc and the Marineford Arc.

He is one of the longest running and most noteworthy primary adversaries of the series, as he was the first enemy to hand Luffy a complete and utter defeat. He was originally introduced as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea[6] but was later stripped of his title after attempting to take control of the Arabasta Kingdom.[4]

Thanks to Luffy, he managed to escape from Impel Down[16] and went to Marineford to participate in the war.[17] After the war, he and his subordinate Daz Bonez decided to head out to the New World,[18] where Crocodile would establish the Cross Guild alongside fellow ex-Warlord Dracule Mihawk, with another former Warlord and current member of the Four Emperors, Buggy, acting as the organization's figurehead.[2][19]
