Fabric of Life: Paper Weaving with Dee Michel

Описание к видео Fabric of Life: Paper Weaving with Dee Michel

In this video, paper crafter Dee Michel demonstrates some ways to weave with paper. While he only shows the simplest types of weave (plain and twill), more complicated weave patterns could be used as well.

Dee Michel has been doing crafts and using materials in unusual ways since he was a kid. He organizes the annual Edible Book festival for Forbes Library in Northampton. Dee has taught origami in various contexts, and his pieces have been displayed at the Springfield Museums and the Forbes Library Children’s Room. He demonstrated his sprang hammock at last year’s Barnfest and is a longtime Balkan dancer. He also knits and crochets; there are 26 tubs of yarn in his basement, organized by color.
