Welcome to Football Manager 2018 or FM18 if we are talking abbreviations.

The aim of the save is to become a club legend somewhere – very much a long term save - currently I am a favoured personnel – in a nation that I’ve never played before, and only that nation loaded – primarily to keep the game as quick as possible. I settled on the Ukraine as there is only 2 leagues and it met the criteria of being relatively unknown.

The team is Gelios Kharkiv, based near the Russian border in Ukraine, I chose them as they had the cleanest history so anything achieved will be my success, only formed 15 years ago in 2002 and they were a professional side as well. Also liked the fact that they play in yellow – no idea why that mattered but it did. I also wanted to put the emphasis on developing players through the academy but this club have the worst starting attributes for regens – the lowest ranking for everything, so this wasn’t a hard and fast rule – over the seasons I have played the kids, but the majority of younger players have been found from the other teams scraps – with mixed success.

Another Champions League EPIC tonight - Juventus, absolutely destroyed us in Italy but have we learnt our lessons?

Tactics:
I will freely admit that I am not an expert on tactics - I will make reference over time to a number of sources that I use to utilise tactical knowledge - I will also use downloadable tactics as I see them as a resource - just like player guides, and other tutorials.
I will always say when i do use a downloaded tactic and will reference the source where i discovered it.

The 4-5-1 formation that i will be using is this one - http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/share-... - over time I have made tweaks to it as I see how my players react to it - but I will always keep reference to the tactic in this description.
People put in a lot of effort to make tactics and they deserve the recognition.
