An intuitive overtone singing chant you can listen to whilst reading a poem I wrote.

overtone singing is a vocal technique where by one is able to create more than one note at once. A the high whistle notes you hear are the overtones over the fundamental note I’m singing. I live using my Crystal singing bowls to accompany me.

this poem entitled; who wears the crown best was inspired recently whilst walking in nature and just feeling the heaviness but hope of our current climate through covid.

👑 Who wears the crown best 👑

From behind coloured masks
We see the world now
Peripherals blurry by our feet
Souls Marching forward
Blind to our true north
still we shall seek

In fear or in hope
Who wears the crown best
Death has many faces
Top of the mourning to ya It whispers
with the sound of your own voice
Quietly screaming feeling suppressed

Who wears the crown best

Momentary blazes of inspiration
Keep our tender hearts beating
Forming new songs
They feel like nurturing embraces
Giving us a sense of purpose
We keep repeating

Who wears the crown best

Our past as once lived
With hues of tertiary memories
Live framed in our minds
Like prized works of art
Hanging in there
From behind closed blinds

Who wears the crown best

Rectangular bearers of somber news
Live in our homes
Enslaving Our constant chatter
Condemning the few drops of hope
We own with the virus
To futures that should matter

Who wears the crown best

Through the eyes of a newborn
We shall lay in solace
Innocence holding our hands
Guiding us to un fragmented views
That appear glazed
To the untrained eye as flawless
